course students will learn the basics of glass fusing using 'System
96' products. Students will have the opportunity to work with a variety
of glass frit, stringers and noodles while creating four fused coasters.
The properties of glass and how they impact glass when it is heated
in the kiln, as well as safety and kiln selection are discussed during
the course of the class. Examples of completed projects and failed
pieces are used to show not only how to make properly finished projects,
but also how to solve problems and prevent failures in the future.

| Improve Your Soldering |

If you spend hours working
on a project just to be disappointed by your soldering, this class
is for you. During this class students will learn professional soldering
techniques as well as the do's and don'ts that can affect the look
of your finished project. Arrange to bring in a project that is ready
to solder (approx. 15 to 20 pieces), your soldering iron and get ready
to say good-bye to bumps, flat spots and wavy lines.

| Mosaic Stepping

In this outdoor class students
will make a mosaic concrete stepping stone during the three-hour class
on Day 1. Students return 3 days later on Day 2 for about ½
hour and remove the completed stone from the mold and finish it. The
techniques taught in this class are standard for making many different
types of mosaic items such as coasters, trivets, tabletops as well
as stepping stones. No knowledge of glass cutting is required. The
cost includes 1 stained glass precut of a flower, animal, etc., all
other materials and the use of a mold and tools.

This 2 hour class teaches
you the basics of acid etching. Using Rub'N' Etch stencils students
will acid etch a design of their choice onto a glass bevel and finish
it ready to hang. The use of Peel 'N' Etch stencils, making your own
stencils and basic safety when working with acid etching creams will
also be discussed. No knowledge of glass cutting is required. The

students will make a 14" round mosaic stained glass tabletop using
'FlashCrete'. The techniques taught in this

Learn a little bit about
stained glass while making four fun and easy items. During this three-hour
class students will make a lead wrapped night light, dragonfly, owl
and frog using precut glass pieces, glass nuggets and lead hobby came.

In this one-day class learn
the technique developed by T.J. Homecrafts to virtually eliminate
the problem of black edge showing up on your stained glass mirrors.
Using a design chosen by the instructor, students will make an attractive
mirror in their choice of colours. Topics covered include glass selection,
assembly, and hanging as well as how to choose and attach the right
overlay for any shape and style of mirror. Students must have basic

During this two-day class students will be taught the techniques of glass bead making using Italian glass rods and a bead makers torch. Students will learn the basic bead shapes, decorating techniques, use of hand tools, glass theory and safety.
Each student will take home the beads they made themselves. Students should wear cotton clothing and closed toe shoes. There will be a ½ hour lunch break each day. The cost includes the use of tools and all materials.
